Clothes after surgery

Recommended Posts

I shop the thrift stores for clothes. I have totes in my bedroom labelled by size so I sort great finds by size and just rotate my closet as I change sizes. I am picky at the thrift stores and purchase clothes I am certain I will wear and often end up with high end brands for $1-$5 per piece. My local st. Vincent DePaul thrift store because they have a large $1 rack along the back wall. Everything is $1 and it takes some time but I have found clothing from Ann Taylor, banana Republic, Seven for Mankind, Coldwater Creek, Loft, Barney's, and many others. I started before surgery and it slowly has made a decent sized wardrobe to work through.

I believe there's a forum here that is specifically for clothing swaps. I'm on my mobile so I can't cut and paste but do a search for it. I know people are on there regularly.

I just cleaned out my closet and had clothes with tags still on them that just didn't fit anymore. Donated them and went the old navy route as well. I was never much of s skirt girl, but those are becoming my go to bc they stretch with me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
