MsPris, I am so sorry. :D I know you're feelings and emotions are probably a little crazy right now. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Maybe once you're healed, you may still be able to get the band. But for now, just concentrate on getting better. Are you in pain?

You are certainly handling this very well. And absolutely we want you to stay! We are here for each other. We'll help you through this time.

We haven't heard from Dini today?? And I wonder how IndioGirl is doing. Who else that was banded this week have we not heard from yet??

A guy in the chat room had some real good articles to share last night. He said that anyone who would like email copies, send him an email with "lapband" in the subject line. One is a 12 yr study, the other just a good explanation of the surgery. tomander@rogers.com

Sheelagh, sorry you're not getting the support you'd like from your docs/staff. Certainly ask away! We're here for ya. If we don't know the answer, we'll find it.

Jeanie, too cute. Can I take him home w/me??? :D

Mango, Lynette beat me to it. Yep, I think you're talking bout the AP band. And the invisible thing, I bet he woulda had the dumbest look on his face. Woulda been great! LOL.

Laurend, Aren't you the busy little bee???? Goodness! You are certainly on the go, but it's great b/c you're up to it. I had to crack up about your dad. People just don't know what to do w/themselves sometimes. You may have to just tell him you've got it under control. Like Jeanie said, you're following docs orders.

AppleBlossom, yep! Time is drawing near and I am sooo ready.

BettyB, we're band sisters!!! 7/25 is my big day, too. Welcome. This is an awesome group.

Sunny, yes m'am! I am SUPER EXCITED!! I am pumped! :whoo:

I wanna sing from the mountaintops!!!! :sing:

Auntie Phyll, How are you? Thank you so much for the email address. I'm gonna shoot him an email now.

And no, we haven't seen Dini, IndioGirl, DarLaur, SweetJephy, RRKeithsGirl, Ckbw, Dancing2, Replicatr, and LaNalga.

I'm checking to see who else we haven't heard from yet.

Hey everyone. The surgery went great. I was taken back about 9:15 and was in my room around 12:30-1:00.

The doc said there were no problems or complications. He put in a 10cc band. After the operation, the pain medication wasn't working but then once the gave me a little morphine - well lets just say I was happy. All the nurses, doctors, everyone was great and so nice. After surgery, it took me forever to pee, I only went 3 times until midnight, then it was every hour and a half I was calling a nurse to unplug me so I could go to the bathroom.

I'm sore but it's not bad. I slept this afternoon, but I've also walked around the house and because it's so hot, I rode my stationary bike twice. The doc said I could ride it as long as I didn't over due it.

I'm a little warm, temp 98.8 - same temp that I was when I left the hospital. I've taken some chewable tylenol and I've drank some broth w/protien mix as well as drinking my crystal light.

Here's a couple of pics of my port incision. I feel a little bloated from the gas but it's slowly working it's way out.

I hope everyone else who had their surgery yesterday is doing well.

Wrangler - Glad all went well, congrats.

Ms. Pris - I'm so sorry, but I also believe things happen for a reason.

This mishap could have saved you from something. God only knows.

Wrangler, welcome back. Glad to hear you are doing well. Didn't get to see the pics yet, my computer is taking a while so I'll try again tomorrow.

Dini, What's up babes. Adam actually agreed to go with you huh. Maybe he's trying? Hopefully, for Anna's sake. Hope you don't mind, I can't ever seem to get her name spelled right. What a precious little smile she has, and those little cheeks, you just want to pinch them up like a gramdma would.

Hey Mango, did you get to check out the AP Band pics yet? Pretty cool. From what I understand they just had a medical conference at the end of June when they officially released the band. I know some Dr. were given a few to try on patients before June. I guess it just depended on who you knewor something like that. Anyway, it's cool you're getting one. I asked my Dr. about it and he said they both are good bands and both willwork well

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
