Hit first plateau. Help?

No, just follow the rules... eat Protein first, veggies second and third, if you have more room, the carbs. Drink 64oz. of low or no calorie liquid per day. Do aerobic activity and lift weights as your energy level allows. Follow the program. This will pass.

I only weigh myself once a week.

Yeah, what she said. Stalls are like lovers....your first will probably won't be your last.

How many calories are you eating? You might consider upping them if you are on the low end of things. By two months out my nutritionist said I should be getting in between 800 and 1200 calories a day. For me, I lose more consistently when I am between 1000 and 1200, especially on days I am exercising. But this is what works for me. You need to experiment and see what works for you. Sadly, there is no one formula that is universal!

I was going to suggest the same thing that a previous poster said. sometimes a change up in calorie intake or change in the type of exercise you are doing is what you need to do to get out of a stall. but be aware that stalls do happen. just keep eating healthy and moving and you will break the stall

You have to burn more calories then you are taking in to lose weight. If you are not exercising then start off slow with something as simple as dancing. If you are eating on the higher end of calories then you need to decrease them.

Hold the vision and trust the process.

I had an eight week stall plus two pound gain during months 5 and six post op. The discouragement was intense. I allowed myself to vent the emotional stress which helped. I searched for answers. My breakthrough came when I added magnesium tablets to my vit/minerals. Weight started dropping in 24 hours. If you decide to try this, be sure you clear it with your medical team. I am again losing approximately two pounds a week. I am a slow loser due to physical conditions which make it impossible for me to do any exercises.

Do well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
