Consult your surgeon for their advice first.

I was able to take my Zoloft right after surgery in pill form--BUT again, check with your surgeon--everyone probably has different protocols.

I purchased a 3 month supply of chewable bariatric Vitamins so I used them up first. I was allowed to take capsule supplements after a month. Again, check with your doctor, they may have different guidelines.

Congratulations on your surgery and I wish you great success!

Blessings,

Kathleen

Yes, check with your surgeon, but I've been taking pill form of everything since the morning after surgery.

I stocked up on chewables and used them for what I could for the first 4 months, taking small pills as needed or cutting larger ones in 1/2, but you need to discuss with your team as some meds you should not cut or crush or get something stuck too soon. Even today, I take a handful of supplements at a time but I search out the "petite" versions of a Multivitamin capsule and "pearl" fishoil.

It took me about a month but I had excessive swelling and couldn't even get Water down. Now no problems at all.

My surgeon's instructions say I need to stay on chewables for a minimum of 12 weeks post-op before switching back to solid pills.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
