  1. Hey Olivia! You are definitely not alone! I have been stuck at 264 since the middle of May, so 3 months at the same weight. Yes, I am excited and can Celebrate losing 90 lbs but I believe I should be far more along by now. I am beyond discouraged at this point. I agree with others who have said to put the scale away, it will just continue to frustrate you if you're not losing as quickly as you'd like. Good luck!
  2. @@kgunchic I'm in the exact same boat as you so don't feel bad, you are not alone! I am 9 months out and haven't lost a single pound in 2 months. In the past month, I've been eating all sorts of foods that I know I shouldn't be. My worst fear was that I'd go back to my old habits. I find some meals I can get full on a small amount and others I need more than usual to feel full. I've also been snacking between meals, picking at my daughter's lunch/dinner as I'm making it, etc. I know I will have to do the 5 day pouch test at this point in order to get over this rut I'm in. It's going to be hard to do but I keep telling myself that it's only 5 days and they will pass. Good luck!

  7. Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary and I am down 91 lbs. I was hoping to be 100 lbs down by the time 6 months rolled around but I keep stalling. I started using My Fitness Pal which helps me see what I eat every day and since then, the weight loss has started to come off again, ableit slow. I eat approximately 1,000 calories each day and walk every day.
  8. Yes, I started eating a tortilla on occasion around 2 months out. They help satisfy my need for a sandwich. I use La Tortilla Factory brand which have 6 net carbs. They are a little chewier than other brands but tasty.

  10. I am 5 months out and have been stalling like crazy. I went the entire month of February stuck at 285 lbs so I went back to the full liquid stage for a couple days and that helped lose 5 lbs. Since then I've only lost another 5 and have been stuck again at 275 for the past 3 weeks. I've increased my exercise and I eat 1000-1200 calories a day. I'm getting 70-80 grams of Protein and I get my liquid in so I know that's not an issue. Also, my hair. My poor hair! It was thin before surgery and has only gotten worse since. I took my hairdressers advice and switched to a sulfate-free shampoo/conditioner and started using a hot oil treatment. I'm thinking hair extensions or a top piece might be in my future!

  13. My favorite Quest bar is the Cookies n' cream. I like it so much I bought an entire box when they were on sale at GNC ($24.99 for a box of 12). The apple pie and chocolate chip cookie dough are also pretty good.

  15. Everyone has different tastes so the sweetness of Protein shakes will vary based on your taste buds. I'm not a big fan of very sweet Protein Shakes either. I drink Premier Protein RTD's which contain 30g of protein per shake and I also like Syntrax Nectars vanilla Bean Torte.

  17. I've eaten a Fiber One cookie and it satisfies my sweet tooth. I agree with @@finediva that I had this surgery to control my out of control eating but not to never have little treats every now and then. I live by the "everything in moderation" motto now. As long as you aren't eating the whole cake and just needing a taste every now and then, I see no problem with it.

  21. I couldn't drive for 2 weeks post op per my surgeon's instructions and in the very beginning I just slow walked around the house for exercise. At 1 week post op I was allowed to get on the treadmill and walk a normal pace. Then at 6 weeks post op I was allowed to start to do pretty much anything.
  22. I was 330 day of surgery and I've been through a stall already. Was hoping to be down a little more by now but that's just me putting more pressure on myself to lose but I'll take it!
  23. I feel like I'm eating the same things over and over and I'm getting bored. I feel like I can eat anything meaning my appetite is good. I'm also able to eat about 3/4 cup of food. I have found that foods don't taste funny to me. I read that was a possible side effect but so far so good. I'm also finding that there isn't anything, so far, that my sleeve doesn't agree with. I want to see my NUT again because I feel like they only prepare you for the first couple of weeks post-op but not how to eat once you're passed the phases. So, anyone around week 7, what are you eating?
  24. That's great! I went to soft foods last week and I was like a kid in a candy store! LOL For some reason the first thing I wanted was egg salad. I ate refried Beans with a little salsa and shredded cheese and the ricotta bake for my dinners almost every night. I also have the same problem with getting around only eating until I'm full when my head sees more food in the bowl and doesn't want to waste it. So far, so good though!

  26. Yes, make sure they are the fat free kind. I am able to split one can into five meals with each one being a little over 1/4 cup.
  27. Eating slow is hard for me as well but you get used to it. I just wish I could keep my food warm while I eat. By the time I'm half way through it's cold and I have to reheat it.
  28. I love the Vanilla Bean Torte. I mix it in the blender with 1/2 a banana or natural Peanut Butter.
