October 2014 sleevers check in please!

  • Popular Post

Hey everyone! I just wanted to keep in touch with everyone on the postop boards now that most of us are done and in a few more days the remainder of us October sleevers will be done as well.

How is everyone doing? Feel free to share any problems, suggestions, recipes that helped you get your Protein in, and any other advice you'd like to share. Ask questions, if you have them. Use this thread as you see fit, but mostly to keep in touch with everyone.

I know quite a few people went to the Facebook page. I know it's private, but I've seen cases where private information was temporarily made public on Facebook by Facebook glitches/viruses/hacks. I know there is no intention of it going public but I rather not take the risk.

So I hope to hear from you all soon!!

Best wishes and good luck!

Weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 218 from 238 in 2 weeks! Yay!! I've been power walking just about every day which has obvious been helping a lot.

Sleeved on the 30th. 274 starting weight. 277 highest weight. 265 day of surgery. 255 today - 1 week post op. So tired of liquids but not feeling any hunger at all. Biggest problem is the smell of food. I need a smellectomy. The liquids/protein powder don't taste good and I'm for something that tastes good.

When are we allowed to eat salad and raw veggies again. I miss salad.

I miss veggies too and so does my digestive track, lol.

Hello everybody. I was sleeved October 29th. My hv 279 day of surgery 235 current 226. I'm feeling good. Enjoying my time off. I went and got groceries yesterday. I love home cooked meals for my kids. But it does get tiring quicker than it used to.

Congratulations Samantha

I would suggest making the meals as simple as possible. Sandwiches ans soups won't hurt them for a little while. You need to rest and recover as much as possible.

sleeved 10/2, down 30.5 since and it is just 5 weeks. I am eating regular food which I chew chew chew. I am full very quickly. had severe heartburn for a couple of days so I paid attention to what new food I had added and then realized that it was coffee causing me this greif. guess my new stomack can't deal with the acid of the coffee which is ok because I was not enjoying coffee as I did before my surgery. my goal is to lose 70 lbs and I am glad to find this forum

Does anyone know when we can eat popcorn?

Thanks Kathy812. I ordered some unjury today!

Congrats Papi

Lucy Lu :-) looks like you're doing great

Had my one month check up yesterday and everything is great! My dr now put me on normal foods but sternly reminded me to eat protein first! Lol

@@jstrong630,my paperwork shows raw veggies can be added slowly after 8 weeks
