  1. I told EVERYBODY. I still do. It's amazing how many people have questions or don't understand. I look at it as though a good percentage of Americans are going through the weight issues I did. If I can help somebody in some way to better their life then I'm going to keep talking.
  2. I have that problem with drinks. I was told not to drink 30 minutes before, during, or 30 minutes after a meal. One time I went to a restaurant with my husband and kids. We ordered at the counter and I told her no drink for me. She looked at me like I just grew a 2nd head. I told her no thank you and my kids and I went to find a seat and I left my husband to pay. When he got to the table he handed me a glass. I asked him what that was for. He said the lady thought I might need even if it was just water. If I say no thank then no thank you.
  3. Good luck with that! !! I'm down 82 pounds and still a DD. The only thing that has changed is I went from a 42 to a 36.
  4. Current weight 201 goal weight 185
  5. I usually get hiccups if I drink or eat too fast. Maybe slow down and see if that works.
  6. I don't have a resolution this year. More of a promise to myself. I usually do the whole diet and exercise thing too. But this year I can focus on the shopping trip I'm planning with my daughter (because I really need clothes that fit) and the roller coasters I'm going to ride with my son when we go to amusement parks and all the other fun things I can finally do this year. So excited to start this year out not feeling dumpy and ashamed of myself because I once again let myself go instead of being committed. Such a great feeling to be proud of what you've accomplished and feel great about how you look. And all the little NSV's. I've never taken so many pictures with me in them before. Hope everybody else is feeling blessed for making the best decision we could have ever made.
  7. I had a great thanksgiving. Most of my family hasn't seen me eat yet. And being in the pureed stage my meals are interesting. There were a couple jokes when I started up the blender. But it was all in fun. First time I could see plate between my food. And I wasn't disappointed that I didn't get a second plate.
  8. I take biotin twice a day. I'm about 4 weeks out and I have a lot of new hair and haven't lost any yet.
  9. I didn't mind the protein shakes before. Now after I have to choke them down. And sweets were a problem before and this weekend I walked past a cinnabun stand and had to turn around and walk the other way. Couldn't stand the smell. I have read where people say their taste buds change. But I guess until you experience it you don't understand just how much.
  10. Hi faith. I am from PA. I had my sleeve October 29th.
  11. Has anybody else had a dramatic change in their taste buds? Before the sleeve I loved pizza and mozzarella sticks and lots of other foods. Now 3 weeks after surgery I can't stand the smell of deep fried food. Cooking beef made me sick. And my son walked by with pizza and it turned my stomach. Does this ever calm down or is it going to be like this forever? Not that I am complaining because it helps me stay away from all the foods that helped get me to 279 pounds.
  12. My insurance required 6 months. I lost 44 pounds in that six months. Then I kept getting asked if I was still going to go through with it and why don't I just try on my own. I already tried that. Even my Dr office said it's one thing to lose it is another to keep it off. People like us yoyo. I know cuz I did. I made the decision and stuck with it. It's for life not for a few months. You can do it.
  13. Congrats you look amazing! !
  14. About a week. But not to say my husband tried earlier.
  15. You look great! My starting weight is about the same as yours. I can't wait to get as far as you have
