10/31 Sleeve patient here..

I am down 41 pounds since my surgery, and 72 pounds overall.

I lost 60 pounds between March and September of 2013, totally unrelated to my surgery, but because I found the motivation to do it. Then of course I regained nearly half of it, so my surgery has helped me to RE-LOSE it, plus more!

Love the NSV!! I think I had two this week...one was my husband telling me I needed new work clothes because the other ones are literally falling off! The other was getting hit on for the first time in like a billion years...while wearing my wedding ring!!

Today I went into a clothes store and it felt o weird not to e in the plus size area. I kept thinking the sales folks were wondering why I was in the normal area. I almost felt bad that I wasn't in he plus area, is that nuts or what, lol.

That is too funny. I was also shopping in the non plus size section and kept wondering if the sales folks were wondering why I wasn't in the plus size area! Bad thinking on my part. I need to remember I was just a temp visitor to the plus size dept.

I think shopping in the normal size section is def the best reward for sacrifices I've made over the past 3 months. That and also being able to exercise and be more physical without feeling like I am about to have a heart attack.

It's funny too because I have been up and down the same 2 pounds for about two weeks now and folks at work are just starting to ask if I have lost weight. I just say I lost a little weight :).

I haven't been under 200 pounds in so many years, my body doesn't want to get far away from 200. I will push through it.

@@peek, I Agree!!! My body is saying what the heck are you trying to do!? And the weight is trying to hold on for dear life but I will break free.

Hard work, perseverance, and working the program eventually we will win!

Kathy, yes we have to hang tight. I have been eating carbs this week :( and the scale is not moving. I'm not going to weigh until Saturday, lol. I have been craving and unfortunately, everything agrees with my superior sleeve :-)

We will definitely get through this stall. I am keeping a closer tab on my carbs now too.

I had hit my 1st stall for about 10 days which I attributed to increased carbs & the holidays with less exercise, but the day after I was very naughty with my diet & had more calories than I had since surgery (1100), I was down 2 lbs! But I had been much better about Protein & fluids prior to this (& I had last weighed 3 days before that).

I came out of a 10 day stall a couple weeks ago. I'm nervous I'm going to end up back in a stall because of my terrible eating habits. This week I have had tons of carbs and the guilt to accompany them. Yet it hasn't stopped me from eating Doritos today! Doritos?!?!? I haven't had them in months and I caved just because. I'm not sure what is up with me this week but I hope I get some will power back ASAP.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
