Lower-end BMI Sleeve Surgery. Any others?

Recommended Posts

My BMI was at almost 34 the day of surgery, 35 prior but got approved due to medical reasons... I am 9 months post-op and the weight is coming off very slowly if at all now.. I am 50 lbs down and feel great! I only want to loose 5 more lbs before my 1 year is uo in 3 months. I have noticed that even if you get off track, lowering your carb or calorie intake makes the weight come off easily.

34.5 Bmi. Self pay. But I have an exclusion to any Bariatrics or weightloss procedures/appointments/medications anyways. So co-morbiditues didn't matter. But I do (had) have a couple of them.

They pump you full of iv fluids in the hospital. It would probably be stranger if you didn't gain a few pounds while there.

Don't worry, give it a few days it will come down, no problem. :)

I didn't even have the energy to step on a scale when I got home lol. Good on ya! But, yes the iv Fluid can make you weigh more, plus the inflammation. You will likely see a big change after the first week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
