Last Appointment coming up Anxious but yet scared looking for a mentor

Recommended Posts

My last appointment with the NUT and the surgeon is coming up in 2 weeks. Then submitting to Insurance. Preop labs of Vitamins done and fortunately everything was perfect!!!! I am getting excited but also a little comprehensive. Worried about the surgery since I have never had any surgery before. Worried this won't work for me. What if I don't lose weight??? Any inputs would be appreciated.

They are making your stomach much smaller, so you will feel full a lot sooner. No question it will work for you.

Thanks, I truly hope so. I already have my Protein Shake but need to get a clear Protein to add to Water. I have a great support team including a new fiancé who wants me to be healthy not just a smaller size. But so worried about this. Most diets have failed for me, but then again I guess that's why I am going for the surgery LOL

You're in good company here!

I drank the Isopure ready-to-drink (RTD) bottles of clear Protein for 3 days after surgery. The large bottles have 40 grams of Protein

You are so lucky to have the support in going through this journey it is going to help you out so much. Nerves are to be expected, but you just have to have faith and go into it saying im taking my life back, because that is ultimately what this whole process is about. good for you finding Protein supplements ahead of time I should have followed through on that. It is a hard journey im not gonna lie, but once you are healed it is completely worth it. Best of luck to you and your new life let me know if you have any questions id be happy to help :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
