How much are you eating? If you are physically hungry (not head hunger), you should eat! If you are tired, sore, and hungry, you probably aren't getting enough calories.

I had my first post op today...I had been feeling pretty stable and had changed things up yesterday with full liquids and definitely did not get liquids in...head ache, nausea and wobbly. Fast pulse. All signs of dehydration. They said it can happen pretty fast. So, when in doubt, get some iquids in. I hope you feel better soon.

Hey there...

My doc told me if I was still feeling that HUNGRY feeling it was because I wasn't getting enough protein....60-100grams was what I was told to get in me....Feeling sore he said was because I had lost the weight and was feeling better and moving more and my body wasn't used to that yet....There are some Soups out there with high Protein levels and I had little portions throughout the day to get me through....But talk to your doc for sure....It may be somethin else....

good Luck

kim

My nutritionist told me to make bigger shakes in my Blender Bottle, just mix in a little extra...but instead I use a scoop of unflavored. She also told me to add a scoop of Benefiber. Then I should not drink it all at once, but in four "portions" during the day. This staves off hunger for me. Just thought I'd mention it to you. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
