Average daily calorie intake?

Recommended Posts

What's everyone averaging for calories these days? I'm 2 weeks post op and struggle to hit an average of 400. I'm able to 2 Premier shakes with 60 g Protein daily. I'm wondering if I should be concerned? I'm doing 2 miles of walking per day too. I don't feel tired or drained.

At two weeks out you shouldn't worry about calories or Protein. Water should be your main concern. Per my Doc your body can handle a month without hitting the protein goals.

I have been working hard to get my calories up, since I had to start exercising again. The nutritionist wanted me doing 60-90 minutes of "brisk walking" starting 3 weeks out and at that point I was lucky to be getting 600 calories a day. Now that I'm a month out and on soft foods, it's been WAY easier and I can consistently get about 850 calories per day. I think I'm pretty content sitting at 850 until I can increase my exercise intensity next month. I'm not supposed to increase my intensity above brisk walking until two moths post-op.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
