Liquid diet blues!

This is really hard! As I sit here and cry, I wonder why I let my self get like this and I have to go through extreme measures to get better. For anyone who says WLS is the easy way out, they kiss my ass!????

I know it's hard when you're having a hard time, but you are almost there! You have the opportunity to leave that person on the operating table and re-claim your life. That is a great gift. Most people live their entire life without ever changing their negative situation. Nothing good is easy, and nothing easy shows how good you are. Hang on in there....

I agree with cynthiarm2000. You are almost finished. Don't give up now. We can do this. I asked myself the same question. Why & how did I let myself get this way. But you know what the main thing is that we are doing something about it. Don't let other people discourage you from your goal. People will always have something negative to say about anything. It's not the easy way out at all. So whoever has said that can defiantly kiss where the sun don't shine!!! Keep the faith & best wishes to you & everyone who is on this journey.

The first step is acknowledgment so congrats! Keep up the good work, I know it's difficult. Now is the time to reflect and deal with our food related issues and where they are rooted. I'm going through that myself. I realize I need to replace eating and the emotions they're connected, with expression of those emotions and/or find activities to replace the action.

I agree with the above statements we have all been where you are and have shared the same feelings how did we let this happened, but remember life is full of change and as long as we are still willing to changed and improve our lives we are ok, this is an new opportunity to be a new you and you can do this trust me this surgery is so worth the wait and all the blood and tears, you have already gotten over the hard part which is acknowledge that you have a weight issue and that you want to be healthy we are all here for you, you got this.

The 2 week pre-op diet is HELL. I almost gave up too. I'm now 6 days post-op and the fluid/protein part is going great. Just take it day by day, minute by minute even.

@I will what I want is so right. I'm only 3 days post op and this is so much easier than the pre-op diet. I fell off the wagon so many times during pre-op but now there is absolutely no temptation or thought of eating something I'm not supposed to have. It's a great feeling.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
