October Surgery Date

  • Popular Post

Hi everyone!

Just came back from doctor's office and have a October 28th surgery date for Gastric Bypass. This is it, the high diving platform. Knees are trembling.

Anyone else in October? Let's keep in touch as we support each other. We have the pre-op diet and getting mentally ready for this.

LET'S DO IT!

Yep, distraction is the game. Time to pull all the stops. As I like to say, there's a time for trying and then there's a time for nuclear weapons. I am parked near the "red phone." I will do what it takes. This is the battles of all battles for me and I do know this is only the early stages. I'm going in with eyes fully open in the understanding that things are going to get a hell of a lot worse before they get better.

Beni, you look great! Who's up for tomorrow?

@"Beni" peel and freeze the bananas. they will by great in a protein smoothie and easy on the tummy.

Way to go on your first day done Beni!! I've also read the 50 Shades series. They are definitely steamy! Lol! Sounds like you are set for success!

Lol, I bought 50 shades of grey for my surgery recuperation too. Lol good luck and speedy recovery to everyone.

Just a quick question. Did any one have an upset stomach or were you nauseated during the whole liquid diet prior to surgery?

My doctor had ordered an acid reducer (omeprazole), so I didn't have a problem, but I wonder if he prescribed it because other people do.

Hubby just got Domino's Pizza delivered with cinnastix. You know what? I'm so not interested! Yesterday my best friend came up and took me to some stores. She wanted Roy Rogers. I took my protein shake in with me and sat with her while she ate a roast beef sandwich and a shake. This was hard but I'm not giving up my social life over food! Woohoo!
