My doctor's office submitted my FMLA paperwork today by email, at my request so the fax didn't get in to the wrong hands, and the medical assistant copied me. The FMLA paperwork is very generic and doesn't mention the WLS, but her signature line says it in big bold letters! I'm kinda ticked off because I didn't want anyone to know what surgery I was having.

My HR person has to keep it a secret, correct? She can't tell anyone? She is friends with my boss and I'm afraid she'll say something she shouldn't.

Yes they have to keep it private. I was concerned too because I didn't want a lot of ppl to know so I ask her when I was in her office. So rest easy and don't worry about it. You have enough to deal with right now. Good luck

If she tells anyone not only will it cost her to loose her job but your employer can be sued. Congrats on your choice to being healthy.

@mh97686- I know your question was not posed to me, but I told my boss "I'm having surgery and it's personal & I expect to be out two or three weeks." He wished me well & didn't ask any additional questions. He couldn't.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
