Any Philadelphia Sleevers

Good luck to everyone of you who are scheduled to have surgery or who have recently had surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery/gallbladder removal surgery on 4/8/14 by Dr. Aley Tohamy at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Dr. Tohamy has since relocated to Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA. He is the best!!!! My surgery and recovery went well. I haven't had any complications from surgery. I stick to my plan for the most part but I've had days where I ate things I wasn't supposed to eat (not very often). Please listen to your tummies because it will let you know which foods it likes and those it doesn't like. I'm now 7 months out and down a total of 71 pounds. I have 18 pounds more to lose to reach my goal weight.

Again, I wish you all the best :)

Thank you so much Ms. Brown. I wish you much success on your journey as well.

Walk it out. The more you move, the sooner it will pass.

I was sleeved 10/20 at the Barix Clinic in Langhorne, PA! I chose to go there bc I heard good things even though it's a bit of a hike from my house in Philly! They were great! Although when they were making me get up and do laps after surgery I didn't think so!!! ???? lol. Very good experience there!

Today is exactly 1 month post op for me and I'm down 28.8 pounds. Feeling great and almost 100% except for a strained stomach muscle from a fender bender last week!

I went to UPenn. They make you do laps there as well. They didn't nag me because I was already up and walking in recovery. I told them all those fluids in the IV were running me to the bathroom. The first night I think I did nothing but pee! ????????????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
