Pain after fill

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill on Saturday. It didn't hurt very bad at the time. However, since last night I've been having pain near where the port is. It feels like muscle pain, kind of like after surgery. When I sit up or stand up it hurts, and it also hurts when I bend over. Is this normal, or should I call my surgeon?

Yes it's normal. You'll experience pain in that area from time to time. Just keep taking it easy and following your doctor's orders. Continued success

I had a fill 3 weeks ago and had that pain. Went away after 3 days. But very painful!

I had my first fill today. I have pain up toward the top of my right side. I feels like when you get a catch. Is this from the fill as well or just a coincidence?

I've never had pain like that after a fill. I've had 3 fills. I'd call the office before the holiday weekend starts.

I agree with justwatchme! Call the dr. It's a long weekend. I had my first fill two days ago. Yesterday around the port area it felt like I had done too any crunches. Today that's gone and no pain or discomfort at all. Good luck!

Do you think it's just because of the injection? Just curious, I have my first fill next Tuesday and not sure what to expect, although I realize everyone is different.

It could be from the injection. Everyone reacts differently. I was actually more nervous about the fill then I was the surgery!! For me all I felt was some pressure from the RN palpating the area to find the port. I couldn't believe how easy it was: ). I found out I have a 10 cc band and was given 4.5 ccs Wednesday. I go back next Thursday for another one. You will do great!!:):)

The pain is gone now. I think I really just had a catch in my side but I was not sure. Thanks for the advice.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
