Good morning all my fellow September Sleevers, I'm now 3 days post op, and on the stage 1 post op diet, which for my dr. is full liquids. I'm doing a 60g 9 oz Protein Shake split into 3 oz servings for Breakfast lunch and dinner. Then I'm supposed to have 64 oz of other non-sugary drinks like Water, crystal lite, etc I can have hello, and yogurt (blended with no fruit chunks) and sf ice pops. It's my first full day at home and I must remind myself to sip sip sip. I had no idea what that really meant until I was post op. I used to be able to drink 34 oz of liquid really quick, and now it hurts to drink 1/4 of an oz at once. Well I'm taking it easy and I pray that we all will have a quick healthy recovery. Anyone else sleeved on the 16th ? Message me I would love to have a sleeve buddy to offer support and get support from.

Yes, I was Sleeved the 16th. Having the same experience. Sip sip sip, my entire focus right now. Have to walk n stretch a lot when I "sip too much" But so worth it????????????.

Only think now I brought out in cold sores in my lips, not too pleasant ????

Hi sleevedsharon! My surgery date is also sept 30th. I'm scared and excited all at the same time. Im trying to get my profile set up on this thing but having a lot of trouble.

Anyway, I have been reading so much that I've confused myself and starting to make a list of things I will need to take to the hospital with me. All in all, so glad this is an option for me.

Honestly, I wouldn't take much. I did not need many things. I definitely suggest phone, phone charger, chapstick, flip flops, socks, and hygiene essentials. Keep it simple

16 days post-op and doing great! Eating soft foods and energy is returning. Liquids are not a problem anymore and getting Protein is easier now since I struggled with the shakes my dr let me monitor protein by food instead :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
