Obesity is one of the strongest risk factors for gallstones.
Rapid weight loss diets significantly increase the risk for gallstones.
I understand that there is a cause and effect relationship, but I am interested in the actual medical reason. I know there are a few nurses and some doctors that frequent the forum. Please help me to understand. To me, knowledge can help me avoid the situation (possibly).
