Hi everyone,

I'm really sad and freaking out. I was just able to feel my port without really having to press down much. I'm afraid my port was placed too high and you will be able to see it even at such an early stage in my weight loss ( surgery 1 week ago). I've been crying all morning is this really my port I'm feeling? Is this normal ? My sister has lap band And she has to press down two or three inches to feel her port :(

I can feel my port without having to push down much. I just have gotten use to it. My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it, so I never thought to much into it. Good luck with your journey.

I can feel mine without having to push down very far at all. Remember that everyone's body composition is different. Just because you are siblings doesn't mean that you have the same amount of fat in the same places.

Don't freak out.

At 60 pounds less I can "see" (looks like an egg under my skin) and "feel" my port but also my excess SKIN that hangs. I will take that and be healthy and not obese.........o)

You are absolutely right thank you for putting that in perspective for me. I'd rather have a high port then 200 pounds or excess weight... Thank you

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
