I have a question about energy levels. When I go without food for too long or eat too little, I don't feel hungry... I feel bad, weak, irritable, and plain lousy. I really can't function until I get some nutrition. My blood sugar has never shown abnormal results. I'm concerned that after the surgery the reduced calories will make me feel this way often, even if I drink or eat small meals regularly. I plan to ask my doctor about this next week (forgot before... Need a list!) but I was wondering if any else has had experience with what I call "feeling puny" when I "need to eat". My brother has the same reaction.

I feel the same. Fragile and weak. Normally if I am not getting my Protein so I am back on making sure that I get at least 60 grams daily.

So if you get 60 of Protein a day, you feel ok?

@@JCP yes!! I mostly strive for 70 grams. But when I am traveling, not paying attention etc.. it lags. I always feel best if I get my 64 ounces of Water, Protein & Vitamins. Its hard for me as it takes a lot of focus. Some days I still feel tired but mostly I am energized and feel strong. I am 3.5 months out and have lost 60lbs. I have another 60 to go and I really want to make it happen so I am tightening up my eating and exercising and trying to be really really good! Good luck! And do still talk to your Doctor about everything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
