10 Months Post Op Pic & Feeling Pretty Fabulous

So I just realized that it is 10 months post op. It kind of sneaked up on me! So I snapped a quick pic for comparison. I'm still a few pounds away from goal, and wish that I would be there by now, but hey....I'm going to take a couple minutes and let myself feel pretty fabulous about this!

One of the hardest things I deal with now is doing the "head-work". Being ok with maintaining, figuring out how to be a "thin" person, figuring out the emotions behind my food issues, etc. It's been a pretty fabulous journey. And you know what? Screw anyone who says this is the easy way out!

Wow! You look fantastic. So happy for you!

Congratulations on a job well done. Your hard work is so apparent. I am thinking this will be inspiration for many people early in their journey.

Wow! Impressive! You lost over 100 pounds in less than a year. You give me hope & you look great! Gotta check out your blogs.

What was your Starting weight and what is your current weight? You look amazing! Your an inspiration for us new sleevers.

I am coming up on 10 months also. You truly are a skinny girl now. I completely understand the head games portions of this trip. Walking past windows and seeing my reflection but it still doesn't feel like me. The reflection is someone I am hoping to be . My head needs to catch up with wardrobe! Awesome job!

Oh my god, you look great! I hope it isn't too forward of me to ask, but what's your situation with skin? In the picture it looks like you really lucked out! Did you do anythjng in particular?

You look awesome!

My starting weight at day 1 of the 2-week pre-op liquid diet was 278.4. Today I weight 148.4. I still have a few more pounds to go, but hopefully one day soon I can report back that I am at goal! :-)

Not too forward at all. I am an open book....lol. The situation with skin is that I am saving up for skin removal surgery. I wouldn't say I necessarily lucked out because I've been working my butt off in the gym trying to tone my arms and belly in particular, but sometimes all the toning in the world doesn't help when it is simply extra tissue. So, I have extra skin under my arms (wings) and my lower stomach. I think that I probably won't feel like this journey is "complete" until I take care of the skin as well....but I don't think it is something that people would look at me and say "Oh, she must have lost a lot of weight because look at all that extra skin"....know what I mean? I think it bothers me more than it is that noticeable. But it is definitely a self-conscious kind of thing for me.

Wow! You've inspired me! You look amazing. Can I ask you a personal question....dud you have a lot of extra skin or did you tone as you went along?

You look great! Congratulations!

You look so young and thin. Inspiring!

wow, you look incredible dear!!! I need to take my pics before I get sleeved....I keep forgetting for some reason . Can't wait to have a pic like that ((HUGS)) you are an inspiration.
