I'm excited about my weight loss and I keep thinking its gonna get even better.

But then there's a bit of fear that I won't lose as much as my expectations.

I keep having this internal conflict.

I think we all have that conflict and we all compare ourselves with each other and we really should not do that. While we are in the same place and have had the same surgery we are all UNIQUE. We will have the experience we will have. Good or Bad, it will be ours. I choose to think that this is a GOOD one and that my outcome will be good. But, there is that small voice in the back of my mind that says "you have been dieting for 30 years to no avail what makes you think you will succeed now?" I just turn up the music so I cant hear that little voice. WE CAN DO THIS!!! WE WILL DO THIS!!!!!!! :D

Yep, that about sums it up! You have to trust now in cause and effect. You had the surgery, now follow the rules and work it (emphasis on work). The weight will eventually have to come off in spite of stalls and set-backs.

You know.. I have this fear too, but I have a really good way to keep your spirits high..

Concentrate more on how you're feeling. Set non scale goals. Like... Walking longer distances, or being able to see your toes again (lol), or your clothes are looser. So if you plateau for a little bit in weight, you can at least be proud of the things you are doing, and how you're feeling. Don't always rely on those numbers. :)

Don't give yourself the option of failure. I refused to even consider it and its done wonders

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
