Sorry ur having trouble. I could only sleep in a recliner for about 2 weeks I still sleep with a pillow like when ur pregnant, but it's getting better. Hang in there. As far as eating I am never hungry so I hope it passes. I did eat a ton of sugar free Popsicles maybe that will help.

I did have mind hunger , I always ate so I thought I wanted food. But honestly buy the Popsicles everytimt u want to eat grab one, get in the meals u need and use them I between plus it's Fluid. They were a life saver! And don't get down everything does get better. I got down a few times but I'm now down 50 pounds and only 7 weeks out

U will have stalls I did for 2 weeks than all of a sudden I dropped 10 pounds . So don't worry if u stop losing for a week or so. Make sure u get in your Protein it helps u lose better. And keeps u healthy. I get in 80-90 grams a day.

I am 3.5 weeks post op and I feel the same way. I know some of it is head hunger, but I have a hard time believing it's all head hunger but you never know. It got better when I started pureed food, I'm hoping it will get even better when I start soft foods monday.

Only 2 weeks out, but a 1/4 cup of any kind of fat free " cream of " canned Soup in a mug with your choice flavor of low sodium broth, warmed slightly, satisfied me soooo much....

Kayla1990. I am post-op day 5. I'm not really hungry as such but I am dreaming like mad of food. I start Protein Shakes tomorrow and I am hoping that will help. No weight loss yet. Just following the rules and biding my time. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
