Had my surgery, haven't kept anything down since then.

Basically bad acid reflux, gagging and burping with every sip....even the meds seem impossible to keep down...trying to get some Popsicles and Jello, maybe that will help

Did your doctor prescribe a Pepcid or Tums for you to take? This has made a world of difference for me. I am 1 week post op. I am also surprised that you can have Jello so soon after surgery. My doc and nut told me that if it did not go through a strainer easily I could not have it for the first 21 days to avoid any complications. good luck and try to stay hydrated.

So sorry for your complications but congrats on taking the step to be healthier. I had my sleeve on 6/12/14 and gas-x and a Prilosec have made a difference for me. Call your doc of nut and ask first. Good luck

So after my surgery in Jordan, I am now traveling to kenya for work before headed back to London...

Transit in Doha right now, gotta say the flight wasn't as bad as I though, haven't taken any meds....me and my apple juice are still at it...but it's not so bad

I had my surgery the 16th as well. I take pepsid. I broke open the capsule and they are tiny little beads. My issue is just pain. No problem with keeping anything down. Hope it gets better for both of us.

Hey!!! Great we are op-buddies....

My pain is slowly subsiding, but my brushing on the right side is getting worse...sometimes out of nowhere I take a sharp quick breath....but apart from that I'm slowly taking my fluids

Hope it does get better

Omg, you also flew to Jordan to have wls? Did you have it by Dr Khrais by any chance? In Amman? If you did we were in hospital together. I flew back to London yesterday. And going back to work tomorrow. My surgery was on the 14th! Amazing :-) even if different surgeons... we have to catch up. And by the way, I'm sure you are much better today!! By the way, get someone to cook a good chicken Soup for you! It was like elixir for my tummy after the bloody apple juice got. Since I'm feeling so good!

Do you have medical support back where you live, I.e doctor for follow up, nut to guide and keep you moving forward, etc. And WOW you flew, great job, you still need to go slow and treat yourself well.

So far it's getting better, I'm able to drink more without throwing up...the Soups really help, had some mint tea with cinnamon...thought I might as well add some natural blood thinners somewhere in my drinks....

I'm in kenya now, preparing for some video shoots, I plan on taking it easy, but I will be in on my feet a lot

After I'm done, then will fly back to London

I did have Dr.khrais, 14, Saturday....we were probably on the same floor :P....

I am much better today, I can keep things down...drinking my fluids for the day is easier...I just keep sipping....

Soup is amazing!! Your right, even tea worked wonders for me...

Good luck with work, let's stay in touch

Hopefully things will be smooth

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
