Hi! I had sleeve 6/2014,revised to RNY 10/2016. Have lived on protonix, omeprazole etc for over 13yrs. Before revision, couldnt eat a hard boiled egg without being sick! Now, amazing difference. Have been off ALL reflux meds and no Heartburn or reflux whatsoever!! So glad I converted. Not a. Easy decision for me either, but came down to not even being able to eat to live! Keep do the milk of mag.... i am now 10 days post revof sleeve to RNY and just went to bathroom last night. Did Mom 2xday! Was worried also..... my stomach was killing me too, getting better.... my problem is i lost a lot of blood, so counts are all very low and i have no energy! I remember the first surgery and felt similar after not eating for so long. It passes, once eating again we slowly get back to ourselvrs, our new selves..... Hi! I had GERD before my sleeve in 2014. Now 2 yrs later, on twice the Gerd meds and now have a esophageal stricture, having RNY on Tuesday.... I didn't want RNY either,but now no other option. I can't eat without getting sick, and that's very little. Only you can decide what is best for you. Just giving you my story... Best of luck with your decision. Did u fill it yet? I had orthopedic surgery and had to do. It is very expensive!! Insurance covered 20 days I think, but after that the syringes were crazy money.
