  6. If you are looking to add your own tickers, go to top click on your name seveal options come up on being tickers... Good luck to u!
  7. I can really relate to u. The psychological issue with wanting to eat even when I'm not hungry thankfully has subsided somewhat! I had my surgery June 5th and think it might be best for me to go back to liquids and purees again. I liked the comment from the lady a year out saying she took in 6- 800 cal per day. I need to get serious if I plan for this to be a success. Good luck my friend!
  8. I just want to say I am so inspired! I too am 5'5 and my weight loss goal is 135. I am one month out and down 25lbs or so. You are at a perfectly healthy weight for your height and you look great! Congratulations!

  11. Congratulations on the 50Ibs loss. I do understand how you feel though. I was banded for 4 years myself. Lost and maintained a 60 lb loss. I too was at 5cc the majority of the time, didn't exercise as recommended etc. Ultimately, the discomfort of the port did it for me as I learned to eat around the discomfort of the restriction. I had it removed last April. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op with the sleeve now. It's hard not to compare yourself to others but I think you should be proud of how far you've come.
  12. I am not there yet. I'm only 31/2 weeks out but it always gets harder the closer u r to your goal. We have a tool and it's up to us to use it! Try to be encouraged because you have already come so far and the sacrifice will be worth it!!! Good luck my friend!

  14. It's a great one week loss! Whenever I see people with huge weight losses, If I look at their page I will notice they are a lot heavier than I am or was and the weight comes off a lot faster the bigger they are or so it seems to me. Try not to compare. You are still swollen and in recovery

  16. Yay!!! That is so awesome!!! I can't wait! I am 3 1/2 weeks out! So inspiring to me !!
  17. Also I have twice gone in to my PCP and received IV fluids for dehydration. Take care of yourself proactively. Good luck again
  18. Yes, I am 3 weeks 4 days. Since getting sleeved I have developed acid reflux I never had before. I was given Pepcid as one of my take home meds but that wasn't cutting it. Now I am on Prilosec and all is much better. Good luck to u! No regrets! In a few months when we get these little tweaks figured out and weight is dropping. I believe it will all be worth it!!!

  20. Just curious...Why are there locked topics? Who does the locking???
  21. Walk around and move your arms and up down and side to side really helped me as well. Promise it will pass my friend!!
  22. You too huh? I have not stopped to rest since I got home from the hospital. I have so much going on I just can't seem to catch a break. We SHOULD be resting some. I am 19 days out. The staples hurt more because your skin is starting to heal all around them and then one weird turn or reach can make it feel like it's tearing a bit. The large incision area is the most painful though. I'm past the pain and itching like crazy!!! Good luck to u and try to take it easy!!!
  23. I had the lapband in 4/2009 outside of Kaiser. Fast forward to 4/2013, I was very uncomfortable with the band and was now with Kaiser. I attended the options classes and really loved Dr Nanda who was over them. In fact, Being almost 3 weeks post op I made an apt to see him. I felt he really cared about helping me find a plan for me and those classes really benefit me. At any rate, I had my band removed at the Harbor City/LA with Dr Gary Belzberg last year. A few Years prior my step mom had her bypass surgery there with a different MD and encountered Dr Belzberg during an ER visit and did not like the lack of compassion in her own Dr. I remember her telling me I was so lucky I was given him to perform my surgery. I had the gastic sleeve on 6/5/14 and am quite pleased so far! I seriously recommend going to the bariatric support classes Kaiser offers. They are so helpful to me. Good luck to you!!!
