Hello! I was sleeved on 06/16/14... and know I need to start taking my vitamis....my doctor is recommending Bariatric Advantage, however I wanted to get recommendation on other options that are more economical. thank you

I'm also set for June 16th, I'm on day 4 of liquid diet... I just hope it gets easier as time goes by. good luck to you all on your journey.

Congrats on your approval, I am also an emotional basketcase... it sure is a big deal, there is so much to change and learn to be able to succeed in our lifetime journey.

Thank you tammie30, I honestly didn't think it would be this fast... I thought I was going to jump through a lot of hoops just like I did to get the lap band approval. Good luck to you hopefully you do get your date soon.

For me Forever Fat?... I was also banded on 01/2010... lost about 30-40 pounds and regained it all back through the years. I don't feel that the band worked well for me... I did have restriction but not enough weight loss.... it was always so hard for me to eat all the healthy choices like chicken and raw veggies, they would get stuck and now I notice that I get a horrible stomach pain after I eat and reflux. I finally came to the conclusion that I need to have the sleeve.... I need to feel good and be able to do activities with my kids, I hate the fact that I can't get on the rides or walk for to long due to my weight. I just want to be HAPPY!!!!!

I'm so excited!!!! I got the call today from the insurance coordinator... letting me know that I was approved for revision from lap band to sleeve. surgery is scheduled for 06/16/14.... I just have to get all the pre-op test done before 06/11/14. ? is it normal to have mix emotions (scared).

Hello Marlie! I don't have a date yet... waiting to be approved or denied. I've been banded for four years with no success I lost about 30 pounds and then regained everything back through out the years. You are doing great with your sleeve..32lb is awesome. I just hope they approve my revision... can't wait to do this. I'm glad you took care of that acid reflux, that is one of my concerns... I have really bad acid reflux and I'm always scared after I eat.

Hello! I went to my surgeon yesterday to get the results of the GI... he said the band and my esophagus look fine, therefore it will be hard getting the medical group to approve my revision to sleeve. I haven't been successful with the band I have pain on the port, nausea, food gets stuck, horrible GERD and constant burping. IDK what to do... I really wan to have the sleeve done....Dr also mentioned that only 10% are successful with the band, he thinks it just doesn't work for me. the insurance coordinator said she would like me to go to the nutrisionist first but it's not covered thru the insurance, therefore I have to pay out of pocket. I just don't want to pay fees and at the end get deny anyways. I'm currently weighing 306.5 bmi 49.5.
