May 28-31st Sleeve Week!

Surgery week folks! Today our 27s go through surgery and we will keep this thread going for a week while we all get sleeved!

It's FINALLY arrived, I don't know about you, but I am excited, anxious, nervous and did I say excited? I am SOOO over trying to figure out the next diet to do that will rebound in a few months. At last I have a tool that will WORK forever!

Get your lip balm and Gas-x strips ready and I heard a heating pad can be awesome for stubborn gasses in your back and shoulders the first few days, can't hurt to take it with you! If you are in a big busy hospital and might have to share a room, bring ear plugs and an eye mask... you may not need it but better to have it if you do. Don't forget to get up walking as soon as possible, it helps the gas go away. Excited to see how everyone does!

Is anyone having trouble with their eye sight ? Even with my reading glasses on, everything is way blurry

Hey ladies, I was sleeved on the 27th as well and couldn't see a darn thing! The day after I got home I called the office because I was a little freaked out. The nurse asked me if I still had my nausea patch on that the hospital put on before surgery and I told her yes. She told me to remove it and see if things get better. So I took it off and it has slowly improved.

I was sleeved on May 27th. Everyone in the hospital was fantastic. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days. But those two days...wow. The gas pains caused me nausea and pain. That was the worst part. All my pain stayed in my belly region. It is now day 3 postop and I still feel the gas moving around but at least it does not cause nausea or pain. I too have blurred vision and chalked it up to the medicines in the hospital or anesthesia. I brought a book to read and only read a few pages as it was too difficult to focus. I have 5 bandages on my abdomen. No drains and no Foley catheter was ever inserted. I am sip-sip sipping my protein drinks now. Hard to get it all in.

Well ladies, I was sleeved Wednesday morning(28th) and I got home this morning. So I spent 2 nights in the hospital all together. I had horrible gas pains, an still kinda do! Home today an now starting full liquid diet an leaving the clear liquid diet behind me. Also started my first multivitamin today. How are all of u other people feeling?

Wow. That's crazy. The dr actually called me on the way home to remove mine. That must be it.

Not to be graphic or tmi... Has anyone had any bm issues? I've gone quite a few times, obviously very loose.. :-/ I usually hear stories that people don't go for days on end...

Good evening all! Im feelin great. Could be the good drugs. Haven had gas pain at al! I wont complain it sounds like some of you guys have had a rough go!! The doc just came in to check on me he said no surprises so thats grest. I should probably get up and walk more.

Good luck to the 31!! we have just 1 think. tthen we are all sleeved!!!!

I'm on full liquid. Any and everything I've consumed has been within guidelines. I don't have any pain or stomach issues... It's not "explosive" I did have one bm at the hospital similar and I let them no and they didn't seem to think anything of it? I guess if it keeps up or gets worse I will call the surgeon.

Home sweet home. But lots of pain when trying to drink. Tired. Hope I can stay hydrated. Hope everyone is doing well.

I hope everyone is recovering well. Can't Sunday to be on full liquids. Are any of you having a stiff neck?

I had surgery on the 27th. Everything went well except I had horrible nausea. I didn't get any fluids on the 28th. Started taking in fluids on the 29. Fruit juice and water was good but the protein drinks hurt my stomach. No real pain. I've been walking. I feel Ike I should be eating something but I'm not hungry just sipping juice and water. I'm happy the surgery is over and recuperation hasn't been bad. My follow up is next Friday. On a liquid diet till then.
