  1. Had a nsv today. I fit a size 14 not 14w boyfriend capris. I'm down to 209 losing slow according to the scale but losing inches.
  2. I had the shots the entire time I was hospitalized. Very painful in the arm. I suggest you always get them in the belly.
  3. Preop diet starting weight 239. Date of surgery 5/27 weight 222. Releases from hospital weight 228. Weight today 218. Constipation finally over. Sorry tmi. Still trying to get enough fluids daily.
  4. Jess I had surgery may 27 and I'm having problems with constipation. I had my postoperative today with the nurse practitioner and she told me to get senna-c and collage 100 mg tablets ant take once in the am and pm. I'm going to go get them now. Hopefully things will get moving over the weekend.
  5. Thanks Lylabelle i had my postoperative appointment today with the nurse practitioner it went really well we talked for almost 2 hours. She moved me to puréed for the next week and to soft foods in a week if I'm feeling up to it. She also gave me 2 laxatives to take to get things moving. She also suggested taking at least another week off to concentrate on my diet and getting my fluids in. She thinks my long commute and long day at work would be to much at this stage. I definitely see her point. She also stressed that exercise should not be a concern no more than short walks because I'm not taking in enough calories. She gave me some samples of unjury and I'm going to concentrate on getting in more fluids. She told me to eat about every 2 hours.(applesauce, yogurt, baby food etc.) I felt much better after I left that I'll be able to get things jump started.
  6. Dolly I'm having the same problem. Date of surgery was May 27 and I was 222. When I got home May 31 I was 228. Today a week after surgery I am 223. I'm getting about 30 grams of protein and 20-30 grams of liquids. It's frustrating that I haven't loss past where I started but I'm sticking to the plan and I know I will start soon. Good luck!
  7. I was sleeved May 27. DOS I was 222. June 3 I'm 223. I'm doing about 30 grams of protein but definitely not getting in enough fluids maybe 20-25 ounces. I've been walking 2-3 times a day. My stomach is still making loud growling sounds and I'm still having gas pain sometimes the pains are sharp. Feeling a little frustrated that I haven't lost any weight since I haven't had anything to eat since May 25. My post op is Friday. Hopefully I'll make some progress by then.
  8. Today was my first day driving after getting sleeved on the 27th. I walked around the store for about 45 minutes. Felt a little tired when I got back but no pain or nausea. Still hearing those rumbling sounds in my stomach. Taking gas x strips. Protein shakes still hard to drink they're heavy in my stomach. At least I'm off for another week.
  9. I had surgery on the 27th. Everything went well except I had horrible nausea. I didn't get any fluids on the 28th. Started taking in fluids on the 29. Fruit juice and water was good but the protein drinks hurt my stomach. No real pain. I've been walking. I feel Ike I should be eating something but I'm not hungry just sipping juice and water. I'm happy the surgery is over and recuperation hasn't been bad. My follow up is next Friday. On a liquid diet till then.
  10. Thanks Monte. Today was the first day I could have liquids. The nausea is gone and I don't have much pain. I'm not taking any pain meds. I've been walking so I haven't had any gas pain. If I don't have problems with the liquids today I'll go home tonight or tomorrow morning.
  11. I had my surgery yesterday. The pain isn't too bad but I've been very nauseous. I've had anti nausea meds in my IV. The nausea gets worse when I try to lie back. Haven't walked yet. I was in recovery until 8:00 pm waiting for a bed even though my surgery was at 9:50 am. I haven't had any gas pain. Lips are really chapped. Can't get any rest because of the nausea. Hopefully today is better.
  12. Getting ready for surgery tomorrow. Anybody else on clear liquids and drinking magnesium citrate? It's awful. Ready to get this over with.
