    Tounge gunk

It's possible you have thrush if you recently had your surgery. I got a week or so after surgery from the antibiotics they use in your stomach during surgery.Hmm..isn't thrush typically white spots? Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App Mine felt weird, white and furry. No spots.

Congrats on your journey. Who's your surgeon?
  6. Yay! You will learn tons at orientation. I've not heard anything about Kaiser Fremont. Had friends that have gone through Kaiser Richmond and it was a fairly quick process.
  7. I've heard that about Kaiser San Diego too. I'm so thankful it was a speedy process. My two month wait was forever. Now I can't believe I'm almost 6 mo post op. It's surreal
  8. Good luck on your journey. I love my sleeve.
  9. Have you decided on the sleeve or bypass?
  10. Everything is great!!!! I'm down 62lbs since surgery and 75 total. I have 20 lbs to go. I have the sleeve. I've only thrown up once through out this whole process. I can eat anything just small amounts. Usually about 3 or 4 bites of something. I did experience heartburn months 2-4 but now it's all gone. Best thing I've ever done for my self.
  11. Mine went really quick. Lost my 12 lbs in a month. In the mean time I did the support class and nutrition glass. Met with the psychologist and the surgeon right away. March 26 Orientation. May 29th, 2014 surgery.
  12. Which kaiser are you at? I'm 5 1/2,months post op through Kaiser So Sac.

Hi. I'm 5 1/2 months post op. Down 75 lbs. Kaiser South Sac has been amazing. The process was extremely smooth. Dr Grinberg was my surgeon. My orientation was March 26th. Surgery was May 29,2014. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be glad to answer anything.

I'm pretty sure in order to be accepted into the program, you have to be current on all your tests like pap, mammogram, etc. Once you are 5lbs from your pre surgery goal weight, you will do labs, EKG, Endoscopy if your wanting the sleeve, and possibly a ultra sounds for gall bladder. Consultation, psych appt, nutrition class and support group all have to be done before you start your pre op aka 5lbs from pro op goal weight. I needed to lose 14 lbs. it was pretty easy.

How did your orientation? Did they tell you how much you had to lose to go forward with the surgery?

    tape and tape marks everywhere

I did. Haha. I use it to remove residue on everything else that's sticky. I figured a quick wipe and then wash it off would be fine as long as I didn't get it on the incision.

    tape and tape marks everywhere

I used WD-40. Not on my wounds of course but all around them and then washed it off.

    Fuzzy vision on the am?

Fuzzy vision seems typical after surgery. Almost everyone I've talked to with surgery during my week had it for about the first week. Mine was really bad. Gradually it just disappeared.

    June 16th!

Lucky! Mine was schedule at 2pm. Had to check it at 12. My surgery ended up being at 130. That time in pre op went really fast. They are really busy getting you ready.

    Week 3: May 27-31st Sleevers

We are in the same boat. I'm I down 12 lbs since the 29th. I had a 5 day stall. It's moved slightly the last few days. Ounces still matter. This is when I would of thrown in the towel before cause it didn't seem worth it. I'm glad this took is here to support me.

    Week 3: May 27-31st Sleevers

Hi. My Dr. never talked about a goal weight. He just he wants our bmi out of the unhealthy range. So for me that's anything under 150. I'm 213 today. 63 lbs to go. It doesn't seem unrealistic for the first time in long long time.
