I was also diagnosed having Hypothyroidism started taking Levixyl 0.5mg for 1 wk tmrw Not sure what to expect or how it will impact my wls and goals. Dilemma to be contributed!! Good luck to everyone, keep up the great attitude and commitment!!! Stay hydrated : )

Wow!!!! I'm in shock with today's weigh in!!

Friday, 6/27/14 221

My goal is 220, let's see if I can lose that 1 last pound by next week!

I really think the hypothyroid med is part of my weight loss this week, but I have been drinking lots of Water and most definitely getting my Protein in, 50g daily

Tmrw marks 2 wks on it I'm on this thyroid med, it could explain why my fellow November sleever's have drop double my weight! Happy for everyone!!

Good luck everyone, keep up the great job and stay hydrated! : )

275.4 this week. I'm guessing that I will not reach my goal of 270 with only 1 week to go. :-(

CW this week 174 - won't be hitting my goal either. Losing only a pound or less a week isn't really what I was hoping for. Hoping the scale will catch up to my healthier eating habits and the abundance of exercise I've been doing. It's surely not showing it on the scale. Very discouraging.

I am a bit overwhelmed with work these days as I prepare to relocate to the Middle East. I will be taking a leave of absence from my regular job for 9 months in order to 1) complete my PhD, and 2) do something I've always wanted to do...teach in a university classroom. I am currently jumping through hoops in order to prepare my company for my leaving as well as meeting all of the strict requirements for working overseas. I will be working at the Texas A&M Qatar campus and couldn't be more excited. There are drawbacks, of course, including a serious cut in pay (I'll be making 1/7th of my current salary, and I'm the primary breadwinner!) Also, my husband will not be coming with me for this assignment, although we are hoping we can plan a trip for him to come for a visit around Christmas. I'm telling all of this to let you know that I will not be able to manage the data for another challenge after this one. While I've had a heck of a lot of fun with these, I am just a bit overwhelmed at the moment and need to take a break. I hope that someone from this group will pick up the baton and run with it. I'm hoping someone will come up with some new ideas for the group, some new and exciting ways to keep people active, motivated, and engaged. I will miss this part of my week, this checking up on everyone and marking the group's progress, but I am in need of a break and can't figure a way around it. Can't wait to find out who is going to volunteer to take the lead next! Thanks so much, Bea

Still so sad you will be busy but sooooo soooo excited for you!!!

Anyone willing to do the spreadsheet??

If not maybe we can just keep it going generically lol

I can cheerlead but I don't know how to do the spreadsheet... Maybe set the next check in for Labor Day!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
