what can YOU not eat?

Recommended Posts

Yeast raised donuts......of course I really don't NEED to eat them either!!! I tried a simple glazed donut----it was a no go---it grew to about 10 times the size of the bite I took, and I slimed for 45 minutes, before ultimately losing what seemed then to be a dozen donuts----way more than the bite I took!!!!

All in all, I am very lucky. I can eat most things. I cannot eat a lot of pasta---1/4 cup or so, and I feel FULL big time! Same with potatoes. meats, most veggies, etc. I do fine with. fruit is another take it very, very slow thing. The moisture content in the fruit makes it like drinking with food, and I risk sliming!!!

Good Luck!!!!

Kat

Here's the links to a few of the many other threads on here that ask this same question. I found them by using the search function, going to advanced search and using a title search for the word: foods.

I list these so that you can have the opportunity to see some of the other responses people have made in the past. Yours is a really good question, so in addition to what people may respond to this thread, here are the links to some of what other people have said:

So here's my question: I can eat most of these things everyone has mentioned......will my ability to tolerate these things change once I get a fill, once restriction sets in?

I cannot do any bread, Bagels, tortillas. I have trouble with most pastas and most cereals. I absolutely cannot do any chicken or turkey (even dark or moist.)

Until after 10:30 am and a cup of coffee, I cannot do any solids or liquids.

I have difficulty with morning meds ( Vitamins and suppliments.)

What I wish was difficult...chocolate and icecream. They go down so smoothly! :)

Probably. It's an individual thing. I haven't PBed but I get the pain in the chest from not chewing enough, too big of bites and dry foods.

Several foods block me up, cause a golf ball, but I've only ever PB'd once. They are fish (except salmon), crappy sugary cereals and doughy foods like donuts, muffin and cake. I can eat a bite of donuts, muffin and cake, but I cannot tolerate fish. Its just awful to eat, instant pain.

bread is a difficult go slow food but I can eat it quite easily without discomfort.

Anything eaten too fast or in too large a bite can cause problems, but its second nature to me now to eat slowly and chew well.

I was able to eat just about anything before I had my 3rd fill 2 weeks ago. Im at 8cc in a 10cc VG. Wow what a change. I have been having problems with foods that I could eat before. For example, I ate an orange today, and had a hard time with it. I hurt like heck after I ate it. Over the weekend I made a Tomato/motzerella/basil salad and got a loaf of bakery italian bread. The bread was impossible to eat. I had such a pain in my chest and I think I finally realized what the term PB means. I never felt this before. it really hurt. It did go away but I dont like that feeling. I was scary. I think with my last fill im extra tight and need to be carefull. Does this mean Im getting toward my sweet spot? thanks

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
