What fitness related EVENT are you training/preparing for?

Just curious what event fellow WLS patients may be planning on doing.

It could be a way to meet others at one of them. So what's on your upcoming "to do" list?

Event name?

Date?

Location?

Hi SparkleCat, where in Denver?

It's in the Highland area (NW Denver). Put on by Motion Fitness and Massage...Jessica Rose runs it and she is amazing! She does several boot camps a week and this summer is doing the Booty Boot Camp and an abs one I believe

Let me know if you want more info!

Finished my first two 5k runs in the last month.

Coming up I have:

May 25th strawberry Stampede 5k Arroyo Grande CA Strawberry Festival

May 31st Bands on the Run 5k Morro Bay, CA

July 27 San Luis Obispo Triathalon (sprint triathalon)

Labor Day weekend Disneyland 5k AND 10k

September 9th Central Coast Cancer Challenge 10k San Luis Obispo, CA

Sept 19-21 Ragnar Relay Napa, CA

NEXT April SLO Half Marathon San Luis Obispo, CA

Still debating (my sister is trying to talk me into it):

October City to Sea half marathon San Luis Obispo to Pismo Beach, CA

Will add some more 5-10k runs here and there.

Warrior Dash this Saturday in North Carolina. This will either be my 3rd or 4th Warrior Dash....can't remember. Very fun and I'm not a huge fan of running and still love it!

Oh yeah.....and participating in the Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games in July. Linville, NC, throwing and flipping heavy stuff.

Yeah, they are a little addictive. I think for me, the athletic events are fun, but the atmosphere is what makes me show up....bagpipes, genealogy and the like.

Run or Dye 5K

June 7th

Pittsburgh Pa

Lupus Loop 5K

September

Pittsburgh Pa

I will defenitely add more this summer if I continue to do well. These 2 are a good start.

I will be Tarpon Fishing in KeyWest in Mid June. Since the big ones take 45-60 minutes to get to the boat, upper body strength is important.

I ran my first 5K earlier this month (5/3/14) and am training for another June 14.

Missouri

I also did a indoor triathlon in march:)

Warrior Dash Portland Oregon in September

Training for next year's Tough Mudder.

And I'll be looking for some events in between!

The Color Run, Aug. 9, Erie, Pa :)

I can't wait to heal a bit more and start doing the C25k to prepare for it (although I know it's not timed, and I can walk it if I want)

WarriorDash

Finished in 44 minutes. Certainly not like a regular road 5K.....obstacles, traffic and mud slowed me down......but it was a blast!!

Snohomish River Run (in WA State) 10K at the end of October

Princess 1/2 marathon at Disney World Feb '15

I am going to ride in an all women's bike ride with my 2 sisters and daughter. Little Red Riding Hood bike ride in Logan, Utah. 50 miles, just a fun ride. Week after on June 14 100 mile bike ride for Diabetics, my daughter is riding with me she has diabetics from her pregnancy, baby has internal birth defects that they think might be caused from it. Brigham City Utah.

Tonight I'm doing the neon-glow run/walk 5k. This is my 2nd 5k but I haven't been training at all due to knee pain. This will probably be more of a walk than run for me but it is movement.
