Nikki - Are you getting feedback from everyone else. I'm almost 8 weeks out and people are really starting no notice now. I was going to measure myself before surgery and never got to it, but I know I'm down. I still fit into the same pants, their just not so tight (no muffin top), I definitely notice the difference in my shirts (no popping buttons). Don't get frustrated, your doing awesome. Like I said, I'm almost 8 weeks and down 36 lbs. Keep with your plan, walk and don't forget to get the fluids in.

Don't lose hope! Your body isn't even finished healing yet, and you have so many victories coming your way. Focus on one good thing a day and the rest will come.

5 weeks out and 32 pounds lost is great!!.. Your body is going through a lot right now and needs time to heal. Even though you may not be seeing the changes others around you will. I am three months out and I'm slowly seeing small changes while others are seeing drastic changes. Keep up the great work before you know it you will see it.

You're doing wonderful....

Don't be frustrated and don't worry because your on the right path to better health.

You've been through a major surgery and your body is healing and it takes as I was told by my surgeon and nutritionist that it takes a year for the body to fully recover and heal inside.

May I make the suggestion that you take pictures of yourself weekly and watch your progression appear before your eyes. Pictures are a great tool to watch your progression.

Another thing you could do is take your measurements and keep a chart of your progression that way.

You'll be amazed with at your results when you see them in the pictures and your chart.

Woo hoo!!! That's awesome!!! I'm not going to repeat what others have already said, but I will say you are working your program!!! Don't stop but add some daily or weekly celebration to your routine. I Celebrate each day that I get more than half of my Protein in by treating myself to an extra hour of pampering and me time. Do small things like buy some red hot lipstick or that sexy pair of heels you want. Love yourself and be good to you. You are a Diva in progress so get excited about the transformation that's taking place and anxiously await your unveiling. Were all rooting for you because you are one if us and we are all going to do this together!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
