@@masonjk38 I have BCBS and they seem to be pretty loose on requirements. I didn't have to go through a lot of the pre-op things others around here do. I haven't had any weight loss requirement and my doctor said that I was approved on the weight I was the at the first appointment. He told me NOT to lose because I'm right on the borderline (35.9 BMI).

Oh ok. I have the federal BSBC and they required a three-month trial. The surgeon Nut said I couldn't gain any weight during that time which ended April 1; however, since then I have put on 10 lbs ugh. I honoring I will lose at least 10 lbs during the 7-day pre-op liquid phase.

I was lucky. I have BCBS and no diet or weight requirements were needed beyond the 6 months of Nut and dr visit. I had several last meals....and was told to go ahead and do that!

Maybe mine doesn't either and that requirement is coming from the surgeon?

I worried a little! I ended up losing another 10lbs right before my surgery. So I pulled off a 60lb loss for my 4 month pre op diet! I did it!! It was very hard!! But I'm glad I did it! Hang in there!
