ice cream....big mistake

Recommended Posts

My daughter celebrated her 17th birthday today. I am 2 1/2 months out. Decided to pass on the cake but to try a small scoop of ice cream. Big mistake! I got so sick to my stomach! It was first attempt at sugar. You live and you learn (the hard way)!

I haven't had surgery yet, so I'm not sure this idea will work... I've seen ice cream that is 1/2 the fat with no sugar. I wonder, if you wait for it to get a little soft, then putting stevia in it & mixing it in, would you be then able to eat a little bit?

The same thing happened to me! I'm kind of glad...won't be tempted again, very soon!

I can eat a small amount of hard ice cream, but soft serve or more than 3 bites makes me feel like I'm dying.

I am 4 months out and tried a little frozen yogurt this past weekend. My stomach handled it ok, but I did end up with a little reflux from it. And I did not eat alot, just several bites. Was delish!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
