  1. I took 4 weeks and needed everyday of it!
  2. My daughter celebrated her 17th birthday today. I am 2 1/2 months out. Decided to pass on the cake but to try a small scoop of ice cream. Big mistake! I got so sick to my stomach! It was first attempt at sugar. You live and you learn (the hard way)!

  4. I am down 49 lbs and only a handful of people have noticed. Its a little disappointing but keeps me motivated.
  5. Same thing going on with me. Im 9 weeks post op and for the first time gained 2 lbs:( 800 calories is my daily max and I even started walking 2-3 miles several times a week. Im just going to believe everyone that this is normal and will happen sometimes. But it is frustrating when you want to lose weight so bad!

  11. Hang in there! I felt the same way the first 4 weeks. I am on week 7 and just all of a sudden, it feels like things are changing. Food is beginning to taste a little better. Im getting a little more in before getting full. My fluids have increased from 25oz to about 50 oz and I finally have some energy. I even walked 3 miles yesterday which is great for me because I had been so exhausted that I didn't want to move. So it does get better!
  12. Probably more mental than physical. I have never thrown up or had any physical complications. Don't have my gallbladder anymore. The only way I'm getting all my protein in is by adding the 3.8 oz whey protein bullets to my crystal light. They have 42g of protein. I meet with my nut on Tuesday and start on regular foods then.
  13. Im almost five weeks post op. I was hoping that this surgery would allow me to still love food but have control over how much I eat. At this point, nothing tastes good or satisfies me. Maybe the first bite or two taste ok then I just want to almost throw up from the smell of it. Is this just temporary? I by no means regret the surgery because the weight is definitely coming off. Guess I just miss loving food at the moment

  15. My surgery was on 02/11. Meet with nut next week to go over regular food diet. No complications at all but do feel a little weak at times. Im getting 500-600 cals a day. Is that close to what my other Feb sleevers are getting? HW 297 SW 288 CW 261

  17. Its so weird. I was never regular before my surgery. Since my surgery on 02/11/14, I have gone EVERYday. Sometimes multiple times a day. Hope it continues. And hope you find some relief! I hear Miralax works wonders .
  18. Since surgery 3 weeks ago, I have had 2 "accidents"!. Today it was the result of a sneeze, the first was a result of thinking it was just gas. Luckily I was at home both times. But what happens when I go back to work next week?! I would be horrified! Please tell me this is not going to keep happening!
  19. I have a friend who owns a boutique with the cutest clothes ever! I want to walk in and buy something off the rack and look fabulous in it
  20. I did not get a cath but wished I did. There was a lot of bathroom trips because of the high volume of fluids given and getting in and out of the bed in the beginning was painful.
  21. Thanks Kathy! I love reading all your words of wisdom
  22. For some reason I thought I was going to be "better" than everybody else and not go through a three week stall that thousands talk about. HA! I was delusional. Lost a whopping 0.4lbs this week Oh well, at least I know its normal and to keep on keeping on.
  23. I'm three weeks out and excessive belching is my "full" sign . I don't know if that will always be the case.
