Constant burping?

Ad surgery last Wednesday, been home since Friday. Noticing that whenever I take a drink of anything I burp. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong that has me taking in too much air?

Lots of gurgling the first week...or two....or three.... :)

I'm three weeks out and excessive belching is my "full" sign . I don't know if that will always be the case.

I was sleeved on 2/24....... Yep, gas is normal. I use 2 gasx strips and that really seems to help.

Oh, girl, I'm close to two years and there are times that I'm a burping machine!! LOL

This is helpful. I thought the burping was a sign of my being full but that's impossible considering I burp when there's nothing in me.

Small sips, no straws, to keep the air out, since my RNY I can no longer participate in the manly art of long draw out burps. ;0( lol only little dinky burps that let me know I'm consuming to fast. Good luck. :0)

I so wish I could burp!!! I think burping is a big relief. I sip water then little bubbles come out, very annoying, takes forever and a bit painful. If I could let out a burp all would be over and done with and on to the next sip. Haha!

I was a burping queen for about 4-5 months after surgery. I've only recently noticed that I can eat again without burping for a half hour afterwards.
