I did not have one either, and I'm glad. I've had one before, and it's irritating. Plus, it's a pathway for possible urinary tract infection.

I did not get a cath but wished I did. There was a lot of bathroom trips because of the high volume of fluids given and getting in and out of the bed in the beginning was painful.

Hi I had my sleeve done in Jan, did have a catch overnight, was glad I did all the fluids and pain meds was safer for me and I could sleep most of the night, good luck on the surgery, easiest procedur

Do you have to get a catheter for the sleeve surgery??? I hate these but want to be prepared.
