How long after submitting package to insurance did it take to get approval? I have last visit next week before my info can go to insurance. I think I'll meet criteria ok, but not sure how long for approval or surgery date. I have to maintain weight at this point so I do still meet requirements. I'm eating too much and feel uncomfortable. I don't want to go out in public anymore. I just want to get this moving without it dragging out.

It depends on how thorough the insurance department of your surgeon is and what insurance company they send it to? Could take as little as 5 days or 1 month or more.

My approval was one month from submittal. My surgery was three weeks later.

Mine was about three days. I think that's unusual

Well I got a letter from insurance today looking for more information in order to approve my surgery. I'm glad they replied so quickly. I'm going to call Dr's office tomorrow to see about supplying additional information. Hopefully they will be quick to approve!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
