uh I think not.... but if it makes you sick, you probably won't try it again. All the sugar free products usually have sugar alcohols that act like sugar in your system........ I won't even try that and it's not low in calories either.. Now the question is.... could you just eat one..... I probably couldn't ....at least before surgery. :)

Sugar alcohol can act like a laxative... so do this in moderation. :-)

Beautiful is probably correct about the 'can you eat just one?' Question. This is key. If you can you're clearly not going to hurt yourself, but for most of us it's a very slippery slope. I had a tough day with off-PLAN FOODS yesterday. Today I'm back on plan and I feel 1000% better mentally and physically.

Sorbitol (whats in most sf candies, Atkins bars and alot of sf items) tears up my tummy. I'll spend a few hours with stomach cramps/diarrhea. Not worth it to me.

Thank God my sleeve allows me to eat just 1 of anything. My husband is amazed when I can stop at 1 bite of ice cream, 1 cookie, 1 of anything. So I'd probly eat 1 of the REAL ones and call it a day.

Not saying thats for everyone, cuz obviously it's not. Some people can't eat something or it'll get em started. If thats u, I suggest u run and run fast...

If your new to this new way of life then it is probably not a good idea to go there. If you are a long way out and have learned what your triggers are and your sliders are. Then you could have a small treat now and then. If it could send you off the program in the attempt. I would say..Don't do it!

I am a believer that we need everything in our diets. But in moderation and balance. I cannot eat some things because of bad reactions. You will learn what your reactions are. Take it slow and be true to yourself. Remember why you are doing this and what you want to accomplish..... Keep that in mind when you decide to try these new things..okay! :)

I wanted to know is it alright to have a sugar free Reese's cup miniature?

My second out of three, dietitians told me there are no, no no 's, just be smart. I have Godiva dark chocolate almond bark in my house. One piece of candy did not make us fat, the whole candy store made me huge. I know I don't do well getting rid of my triggers. bread is #1 so I have it in restaurants only. Good luck. If you look at candy with sugar is sometimes less carbs.

Are you afraid it could be a trigger for you? Is it really worth it?

I have a few Protein bars on hand, but they are not a daily staple in my plan. Usually I will take one with me for the return trip home from 2 distant specialists that see on a regular basis. My favorites (Rocky Road and Lemon Merange Protein bars) come from Bariatric Choice's website. They have many flavors. BariatricChoice.com

From that same website, I also bought high protein chips and pretzles. My favorite chips are the pizza and BBQ flavors. They shipped quickly. But like I said I don't eat one every day. Hope this helps in some way.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
