4 months post op~ had a very bad eating day and am in a lot of pain

Recommended Posts

First off, I know I had a bad day yesterday and ate a lot of things I shouldn't have..... I guess it was my eating disorder rearing her head....And I will deal with that.

That said, I am in horrible pain that started last night. I had popcorn in the morning, some frozen pizza for lunch and frozen yogurt later.....

I have been having pretty severe abdominal pain and back pain . It's almost like bad diarrhea pains but I don't have diarrhea and the pain is also in my back. I'm worried it could be my gallbladder although I don't know because I have never had issues with it before. Does anyone know how that feels?

Gall bladder issues can present themselves in many ways. Yes, pain is one of them, and sometimes nausea. I had a couple of gall bladder attacks but mine were before I ever had surgery. You need to go to the doctor and make sure. You ate a lot of food that was not on your diet and that could very well have brought on the attack but its eating fatty foods that causes gall stones and when they are in your gall bladder they can cause a lot of pain and sometimes you don't even know they are there. Don't take any chances, get to a clinic and let a doctor examine you.

I my NUT advised no popcorn for at least one year out. She said the kernel pieces, like the ones that get stuck between your teeth can actually get stuck in your sleeve. Ouch!

I would suggest keep moving around and drinking your fluids. Don't let one bad day get you down!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
