  7. I'm 2 years out from my band to sleeve revision. I've lost 115 pounds. Yay!! But I have gained about 10 back (and I wasn't done losing). I feel like I've been on a sugar binge since before the holidays. I cannot seem to get back on track. i'm eating things I know I shouldn't, even when I'm buying the chocolate, Cookies, etc, I have a conversation in my head about why I shouldn't buy it but then I do it anyway. I've gotten so far away from the "rules" and cannot seem to get back on despite every intention to do so every day. Any help, ideas or kick in the ass would be welcome.

  15. AND I gained 6 pounds over the holidays...which I know is a result of my behavior but it also adds to the depression.
  16. I'm about 14 months out and 105 pounds down (or at least I was until the holidays). My problem is I am struggling with getting back onto the program after being diverted during the holidays. I start out with good intentions every day and then I'm at work and I have a cookie or 3 and come home and I'm eating more than I should. I'm grazing, I'm making poor choices and I'm depressed. I recognize this, I'm on medication (and have been all of my adult life). I tried therapy for a short period of time but the therapist wasn't a match for me (I'm a therapist by trade so I feel like I know what's going on but can't seem to make my brain to cooperate with me). I have a gym membership but I haven't gone but my gym bag is packed and right by the back door. I seem to be making excuses, rationalizing my behavior and unable to dig out of this rut. Any motivating advice would be most welcome.
  17. I had my surgery last year the day before Thanksgiving. I don't remember Thanksgiving at all..... and wouldn't change a thing. 105 pounds down... Not too bad.
  18. this was me (i'm the one in the red) at about 315 pounds (this is me in October (I'm the one in the black dress) 210 pounds While I'm not losing nearly as much as I initially did, I'm still losing. However, it's hard to remember the numbers on the scale aren't going to go down as fast as they once did. Honestly, I could do more, but I'm lazy.... It's hard for me to get my butt moving. Most days I average 1200-1300 calories and I walk about 3 miles 3-4 days per week.
  19. First off, this wasn't an issue for me because I'm gay. That said, my doctor RECOMMENDED using two forms of birth control. They explained it wasn't so much about not being able to sustain a pregnancy but if you become pregnant within the "optimal window" to lose weight, it could greatly hinder your total weight loss. Follow your beliefs. I agree with whoever said, say you will do what they ask, and then do what you do. I know there are other ways to prevent pregnancy (or reduce the risk) such as using the rhythm method, etc.
  20. Welcome.... I think its great too that there is a LGBT section on this site. I started about where you are....and hope your surgery and recovery go smoothly.
  21. 222 ~ not bad for 10 days in Disney, eating Disney food!
