having difficulty
I'm 2 years out from my band to sleeve revision. I've lost 115 pounds. Yay!! But I have gained about 10 back (and I wasn't done losing). I feel like I've been on a sugar binge since before the holidays. I cannot seem to get back on track. i'm eating things I know I shouldn't, even when I'm buying the chocolate, Cookies, etc, I have a conversation in my head about why I shouldn't buy it but then I do it anyway. I've gotten so far away from the "rules" and cannot seem to get back on despite every intention to do so every day. Any help, ideas or kick in the ass would be welcome.

14 months out and realllly struggling
AND I gained 6 pounds over the holidays...which I know is a result of my behavior but it also adds to the depression.

14 months out and realllly struggling
I'm about 14 months out and 105 pounds down (or at least I was until the holidays). My problem is I am struggling with getting back onto the program after being diverted during the holidays. I start out with good intentions every day and then I'm at work and I have a cookie or 3 and come home and I'm eating more than I should. I'm grazing, I'm making poor choices and I'm depressed. I recognize this, I'm on medication (and have been all of my adult life). I tried therapy for a short period of time but the therapist wasn't a match for me (I'm a therapist by trade so I feel like I know what's going on but can't seem to make my brain to cooperate with me). I have a gym membership but I haven't gone but my gym bag is packed and right by the back door. I seem to be making excuses, rationalizing my behavior and unable to dig out of this rut. Any motivating advice would be most welcome.

What would you do?
I had my surgery last year the day before Thanksgiving. I don't remember Thanksgiving at all..... and wouldn't change a thing. 105 pounds down... Not too bad.

Almost a year out and slowing down with before and after pics
this was me (i'm the one in the red) at about 315 pounds (this is me in October (I'm the one in the black dress) 210 pounds While I'm not losing nearly as much as I initially did, I'm still losing. However, it's hard to remember the numbers on the scale aren't going to go down as fast as they once did. Honestly, I could do more, but I'm lazy.... It's hard for me to get my butt moving. Most days I average 1200-1300 calories and I walk about 3 miles 3-4 days per week.

Forced to be put on birth control after surgery?
First off, this wasn't an issue for me because I'm gay. That said, my doctor RECOMMENDED using two forms of birth control. They explained it wasn't so much about not being able to sustain a pregnancy but if you become pregnant within the "optimal window" to lose weight, it could greatly hinder your total weight loss. Follow your beliefs. I agree with whoever said, say you will do what they ask, and then do what you do. I know there are other ways to prevent pregnancy (or reduce the risk) such as using the rhythm method, etc.

hair loss
I'm 7 months out and 90 pounds lighter. I am losing my hair like no one's business.... and I had/have fine/thin hair to begin with. I bought a product called Toppix that fills in your hair so you don't look baldish. It works really good but it's like wearing makeup in your hair. If you sweat or it rains on you, it gets weird and kinda comes off on your fingers if you touch it. Either way, I use it everyday and no one but my partner and me have noticed my hair loss. It sucks soo much though and I wish it didn't happen. That said, I wouldn't trade my health for hair.

Does it cost more for a revision
My doctor did both operations at the same time, but it was still considered 2 separate operations as far as cost. However, some doctors do it in 2 separate operations and I think that would be more expensive as you have two anesthetic costs, 2 hospital stays, etc.

Does it cost more for a revision
I guess it depends on what your revising from. I had a lap band so My answer is YES because it is essentially two operations: Removal of the lap band and creation of the sleeve. I had a really rough revision and was hospitalized for four days with some complications. My bill totaled (after reductions from the hospital and the 25,000 the insurance paid) around 60,000. My insurance only covered 25,000 per life time.

I totally am feeling sorry for myself
I'm frustrated and I admit it. I've just been feeling down lately and I think it's because my weight loss has slowed waaayyy down. I realize I could have less calories or work out more but I feel like my weight loss should speed up already! I also want to be able to eat whatever I want. Sometimes I just want to eat the cake, ya know. Lately, I feel like I'm battling to make the "right" choice all the time. Some days I want to eat two Quest bars.... sometimes, I just want to have to not worry about every frickin thing that goes in my mouth.

90 pounds in 7 months
Today's my 7 month anniversary for my conversion from lapband to sleeve. 90 pounds down and 60 to go. Feeling pretty proud of myself even though my weight loss has slowed and I'm still struggling with "just wanting to eat things". For the most part, I'm eating around 1200 calories, 85 gm of Protein and getting 100 oz or more of Fluid in. I've been walking about 3 miles a day four or five times per week. Know what? My dog has also lost some weight!!

Wife Eating Habits Worsening
First off, I find the title of this thread amusing.... I too, struggle with partner's eating habits, although, maybe not for the same reason. There are some foods that buy that are a bit more expensive and I buy them for me. However, I'll go to grab a Quest bar or some Peanut Butter and there isn't any left. I never realized how much she ate... It irritates the hell out of me. That said, I'm the sole grocery shopper in our house so I have total control over what comes in. I think I would find it extremely difficult to deal with watching bad eating habits on a regular basis. Occasionally, my partner will order Chinese food or pizza and often feels really guilty about it. Honestly, I could care less... For me it would be totally different if cake, chocolate or ice cream were being eaten in front of me. Those are HUGE trigger foods for me and she has been super respectful of that. Is it possible for you to have a very candid conversation with your wife about how you feel. Even though she may be sensitive about this subject, she doesn't have the opportunity to change her behavior unless she is aware of how you feel. Best of luck!

Married Yesterday (and at my lowest weight)
OMG... I am so sorry, I even looked at your surgery date on your profile and it said may 2014.... I would not have said anything if I knew you were still preop. I'm very sorry if I scared you.... That said, Froedert has a lot of "revisions" from Dr. Chua. but they are band to sleeve or band to RNY, etc.
