I am 5 days post op and am curious about what others in roughly the same time frame are eating. Can someone give me some examples? I'm struggling! I'm not even hungry. Trying to stay hydrated and get Protein in for now!

most important now is your Protein shakes and Water , you can also have broth and sugar free Jello which also is considered fluids and remember to sip, and go slowly

I am 6 days post- op and on a 3 week full liquid diet. Creamed Soups (strained), sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding, Protein Shakes, and of course Water water water. At week 2 I am supposed to be at 30g of Protein. Buy some small containers / tupperware. One can of Soup strained is about 5 meals. I also bought a baby spoon to help limit my intake. :)

I wonder this too. I am 6 days post-op !!! whoop whoop..... I drink broth, Jello, frozen sorbet, diet V8 splash. I am so surprised to read that some are aloud to have Protein shakes already (well, jealous) I dont think I can have strained cream of Soup until I am 14 days post-op. (next week)

Hi,

Two weeks post op and still having sugar free Jell-O, sugar free Popsicles, chicken broth, Crystal Lite and 3-4 Protein shakes at 30 grams each. Surgeon said I need to consume about 90 grams of Protein a day.

I need to get in 64-80 oz. of fluids. All of the above, count toward the fluids.

This is about it for me for the next week, then I will work on soft foods like cottage cheese, puddings and eggs.. Can't wait.

question about your "tickers" counting down our weight. How do you update them?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
