Looks like this thread died down a little. My name is Lisa and I'm living in Jacksonville Florida. I'll be using doctor Uchal in riverside. I just recently completed all meetings and I'm waiting for my advocate to submit everything for approval.

Hi Lisa,

I have not been on here lately.... for no particular reason. this is a great place for support.

I was notified of your post via email... and knew I wanted to reply.

I am so happy to hear of your news. Dr. Uchal did my sleeve surgery on August 4th 2014. He is a fantastic doctor. and this was the best decision of my life... I wish you the best in your journey. feel free to contact me again.... I should be able to get the message through my email.

Sincerely, Angela (Angi)

Hello everyone! I'm just 6 weeks post surgery (sleeve), but I'm already down 37 lbs. I love how the weight is coming off, but I'm having trouble adjusting to this new way of life. I came to this site in the hopes of finding others who have gone before, and can tell me what to expect in the months to come. I know I have a lot to learn, but what an incredible journey! I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers!

I am not too far from Jacksonville. It's great to read all the inspiring posts. I've noticed that it's been awhile since anyone has posted. How is everyone's journey going? I also have Dr. Ahmed as my surgeon. I don't meet him again till February 3rd though. I still have a pulmonary clearance as well as 2 nutrition classes before then. Hope all is doing well. Best wishes! Great group here!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
