I'm a coffee fan so it's naturally difficult for me to be away from the richness of coffee.

What I wanna know is when is it OK to have Decaf coffee?

I'm currently 12 days post-op so is this a good time for me to be able to have coffee? Maybe just even a 1/4 cup allowance of it.

I am allowed coffee (any kind) at 12 weeks, but prior to that I wasn't even allowed Decaf. Check with your doctor or nutritionist.

I LOVE/LOVED coffee...when I could start drinking it I COULDN"T stand the taste! I try every single day to have a cup and I just can't do it. My tastebuds certainly have changed!

Chike and Unjury make coffee flavored Protein Shakes that are pretty good cold. Also my grocery store sells a coffee extract for flavoring things. Those might help until your doc okays the Real Thing. I'm pre-planning for it now, as I LOVE how coffee tastes and hate to start the day without my beloved Verismo Latete. GOod luck!

Go slow if you do try it. My sleeve didnt like any coffee until post op month 4. Im now 5 months post op.

I could occassionally get it down before this with a scoop of Protein powder but not always.

Follow your drs orders on this tho. They may have specific coffee rules. Call and ask to verify.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
