Good luck I was thinking of getting the band for a hot second and then I remember coming here and reading how a lot of ppl revised to the sleeve

BEST thing i ever did was get the band removed & replaced by the sleeve! I had it done all in 1 surgery. Recovery went well overall. I'm almost 8 weeks out & have no regrets. I do struggle with getting enough fluids & sometimes Protein in, but it's all me & has nothing to do with the surgery itself.

Great decision, good luck!

That's because if you have a band you have other options if it doesn't work for you. If you have the sleeve or RNY your options are limited.

All the WLS have their benefits and detractors.

Well Congratulations on your news!! I had my revision in January and I am so happy!! No limitations with the sleeve I can eat onion, celery and carrots without any problems the best part is I can keep all the Protein in my body with out throwing up. My body at the end of my lapband journey my would without notice I would get violently sick!! Some people have had good response with the lapband and some haven't we all are like fingerprints each is different and our experiences are different too.

I am a firm believer in doing what is right for you to have a long and healthy life!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
