3 week out.. Wondering mind....

Recommended Posts

Hello I'm 3 weeks out and I'm wondering what are some food restrictions down the line. Of course this is a lifestyle change but just wondering will ever be able to eat a potato chip or frozen yogurt. Wondering if anyone who has has the sleeve has experienced dumping?

No, no dumping. Sliming, yes, but no dump. And yes, sadly perhaps, you will be able to eat chips and frozen yogurt without any problems. (other than self-sabotage)

That's the beauty of the sleeve, you will likely not have any food restrictions at some point. Lots of people report difficulty with different foods. Me....not so much. My sleeve will tolerate anything. Well, not that I've tried everything, but I've not yet come across anything I cannot tolerate. Makes it a slippery slope so I have to be vigilant about what I permit into my regular diet.

Experienced sliming, dumping and throwing up!!! Don't like none of them. I know that I am sleeved tight, meaning that I am six weeks out and still can't eat very much. An example is that I was only able to eat six small shrimp for supper. Nothing with it, just the six shrimp. The sliming and dumping was due to me trying to eat something that was very spicy! I have found that is a no-no for me. Also, certain foods no longer appeal to me or they have a different taste than before I was sleeved. Weird how this procedure affects all of us so differently. Best of luck!

I'm 8 weeks out and can only eat 3 shrimp. It's hard for me to eat other meat too. It's just too heavy on my stomach.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
